Dorking Service Centre has beaten off tough competition to take second place in a major national motor industry awards scheme. 

Dorking Service Centre on South Street – part of the Bosch Car Service network – has been highly commended in the ‘Independent Garage of the Year’ category of the Motor Trader Industry Awards 2006. The awards are sponsored by the leading trade magazine Motor Trader.

Directors Sid Swaine and Kevin Field learned of their award at a prestigious ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Hotel on Tuesday 18 July hosted by television celebrity Tom O’Connor.

The company won the award for its outstanding growth and excellence in customer care since it opened as a Member of the Bosch Car Service (BCS) network in February 2004. This has included:

  • Attending to over 6,000 vehicles
  • Achieving almost 80 per cent repeat business and 20 per cent direct referrals from customers

To become a member of the Bosch Car Service network requires the highest standards of staff training and quality of service to customers.
