– Mary Anderson, in 1903, invented the first windscreen wiper that attached on the outside of the car.
– Katharine Blodgett was the first woman to be awarded a PhD in Physics. Her work improved the glass used in eyeglasses, camera lenses & even car windscreens.
– Margaret Wilcox designed the very first car heater which she patented in 1893.
